Raphael Müller, who is responsible for purchasing at SMS Innenausbau, contacted Torsten Schmidt, contact person at her long-standing extraction specialist Schuko in Kirchberg. Both can look back on more than 30 years of cooperation, so that Schuko is very familiar with the operation of the SMS-Saar. Since the end of January 2019, the new painting plant has been running perfectly. Owner Detlef Müller and the SMS joinery team are very satisfied.

When planning the new paint mist extraction system, the space requirements of the existing building had to remain sufficient. The roof stiffeners could not be influenced by the roof penetration for the supply and exhaust air ducts. The new system should be as flexible as possible for smaller parts, such as drawers, but also for large parts, such as carcasses over 1,800 mm. In addition, the focus was on modern and energy-saving technology that guarantees convenient and economical extraction. The aim was to equip the system in such a way that it could be used for appropriate subsidies. The BAFA funding programme currently promotes energy-saving systems with heat exchangers, speed-controlled fans, particularly efficient system technology and LED lighting. Schuko has networked SMS Innenausbau GmbH with a listed engineering office to apply for funding. The application was approved so that 1/3 of the investment sum could be promoted and Mr. Müller could be supported with the investment.
With the combined "UNIVERSA" paint mist extraction system, Schuko has the right system in its range. The extraction system is a flexible solution consisting of the Schuko extraction wall type FARBMEISTER and an underfloor unit arranged in front of it. This combination can be used as a wall or underfloor extraction system as required. The constantly changing painting of large or small parts can therefore be carried out standing or lying.

The project at SMS Innenausbau GmbH in Saarbrücken was completed on time at the end of January 2019. The tasks and promises made have been fulfilled and the first positive feedback came from Detlef Müller after only a short period of operation: "The new extraction system pays off for us in many ways. It runs flawlessly. Our painters are very satisfied with the operation and even notice a lower paint consumption. Thanks to the improved painting results, we have been able to reduce the finishing time to a minimum. In addition, our fitters in the object area are so enthusiastic about the surface that they feel an increased sense of quality in their work. The function of the new system has once again confirmed to us that with Schuko we have a partner at our side who has been committed to clean air at the workplace for more than 50 years and who has shown us that it is time for "air up" and it is time for Schuko 5.0 system technology!
